Here’s a look-see of Dumbo’s Gair2, the rental development where move-ins began on May 1st. You can read the full press release about it on DumboNYC. At present, 36 of the market-rate units in the conversion are rented. (About a quarter of the building’s 105 units have below-market-rate rents.) We were most impressed with the outdoor space—the two-story rooftop addition, unsurprisingly, has killer views—and 16 other units have sizable terraces. A portion of the building was also torn out to make extra terrace and window space. The rents are going from $2,300 up to $6,000 a month. Currently, the gym, bike room and lobby are still under construction, and the rooftop addition has yet to be furnished.
